Bank of Communications Yunnan Branch

Founded in 1908 (34th year of Guangxu Emperor Guangxu), Bank of Communications is the oldest modern commercial bank in China and one of the banknotes in modern Chinese history.

In February 1939, the Bank of Communications Kunming Branch opened. Before the liberation, it had 12 branches in Kunming, Qujing, Dali and Baoshan. After the liberation, the Kunming Branch of the Bank of Communications was renamed the Yunnan Branch, and its business has developed rapidly. In 1958, the Bank of Communications Yunnan Branch completed its historical mission, and its institutions and personnel were merged into the financial department. In July 1988, the Kunming Branch of the Bank of Communications was reorganized. In January 1991, it was upgraded to Kunming Branch. In April 1995, it was upgraded to the branch of the head office (deputy department level). The business supervision and party and group relations were included in the provincial management. September 2004 Upgraded to a provincial branch (director level). In January 2009, the Kunming Branch of the Bank of Communications officially changed its name to the branch of Yunnan Province, and the history of development opened a new chapter.
